Richland is nestled in the scenic Ozarks of Central Missouri. Richland may be the Midwest’s best kept secret in small town living. Richland is located within 7 minutes of interstate I-44 to take you to metropolitan and recreational hotspots just a short distance away. Richland is in a region that offers exceptionally attractive and affordable opportunities for open country living with an abundance of clean air, moderate climate, and pure water.

The Richland R-IV Schools, www.richlandbears.us  comprised of an elementary and junior high/ high school, make up the heart of our town. We take great pride in our school; it is one of the first in the nation with Internet access. In addition, Richland R-IV has received the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Educations highest rating, Fully Accredited.

Whether local folks are gathering in support of the Bears in basketball, tennis, golf, softball, baseball or soccer; or sharing a Thanksgiving meal at the Annual Senior Citizens Dinner, they are always welcomed because the school belongs to the community.

The School takes great pride in all the student activities. Students have won district and state contests in several sports, band, choir, Future Farmers of America, Future Homemakers of America, Industrial arts, Mu Alpha Theta, history club, Frisco league arts fair, newspaper and several other academic activities.

We are within a short distance of some of Missouri’s finest Universities and Colleges; Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri State University in Springfield, Ozark Technical College and Central Methodist University in Waynesville, Drury University in St. Robert, Columbia College, Webster University, Park University, Central Texas College and Lincoln University on Ft. Leonard Wood. We are only 30 minutes from university extensions at Ft. Leonard Wood and Lebanon.

Hometown friendliness combined with superb care and modern facilities describe the health care services offered in Richland. Central Ozark Medical Center is one of 20 National Health Services affiliated clinics in a four-state area. The Mercy  Medical System also staffs a facility in Richland. Plus private doctors, dentists, chiropractors and veterinarians for pet lovers offer local services and practices.
