BOARD OF ALDERMEN

2 Year Terms

Each year 1 alderman seat from each of our 3 Wards will be elected in the April Election

Sign Ups for candidacy begin approximately December 6th and runs thru approximately December 27th before the April Municipal Election. (Sign up dates vary each year)

All officers elected to offices or appointed to fill a vacancy in any elective office under the City Government shall be:

  1. He/She be at least twenty-one (21) years of age,
  2. A citizen of the United States,
  3. An inhabitant and resident of the City for one (1)year next preceding his/her election day,
  4. A resident of the Ward from which he/she is elected, at the time they file.
  5. Voters under the laws and constitution of this State and the ordinances of the City.
  6. No person shall be elected or appointed to any office who shall at the time be in arrears for any unpaid City taxes, or forfeiture or defalcation in office.

Meetings: 3rd Thursday each month, 6 PM in Court Room @ City Hall.
